Can wearing contact lenses affect red-eye in photographs?

I always always always have red eye in photographs, even when I am in a large group and nobody else has it and even when the camera used has red-eye reduction. I wear contact lenses and wondered if this could be the cause? If not, is it something to worry about? An eye condition for example?
I don’t imagine I am the only one wearing contact lenses in a large group I KNOW I am the only one wearing contact lenses as I know everyone in the photographs and nobody else wears them. I wouldn’t have asked otherwise.

More likely to occur on blues eyes. Contacts make no difference. Don’t worry, be happy.

The red eye is caused by reflections within the eye. The larger the pupil, the more reflection. If anything, contacts might limit red-eye, especially if they were colored versions. They wouldnt increase the red eye.
If your prone to red-eye, its just a physical thing. Like hair color, skin tone, etc…
You can ask your eye doctor about it the next time you see him, whether or not it might be a problem needing correction.

Not your contacts. The same property that lets YOU see through the lens, allows the red reflection from your retina to the camera.
Do you imagine that in a large group, you are the only one who wears contacts?

contacts make no difference it is the closness of the flash to the lens that does it… if the light source or flash is atleast 6 inches from the lense the red eye is not likely to happen.

i wear contacts and have never had red eye. It is mostly because I have brown eyes. The people that get red eyes the most are blue eyed people.
