My job requires me to spend majority of the time in front of the computer and my eyes get dry fast. I have been wearing glasses for the past 2 months, but I believe I am ready to wear contact lenses.

I wear Acuvue, but my eyes also get dry, and I’m thinking of switching to Acuvue Oasys. Also, since you’re in front of a computer a lot, most people’s experiences might not apply to you.

Explain things to your optometrist. (S)he should have a few suggestions.

I love Night & Day contact lenses by Focus. You can wear them continuously for up to 30 days. I work in data entry, so I spend ALL my time in front of a computer, and I’m fine with these contact lenses, and absolutely love that I can wear them continuously…not taking them out at night and cleaning them in the morning. I started out on Acuvue, which was fine. The Focus lenses took a little while to get used to, but it’s worth it. They don’t hurt or anything, but you can feel them, but it’s not uncomfortable, but you adapt fairly quickly. My eye doctor said that these contact lenses were “arguably the best contact lenses on the market.” They are the most breathable (they say it lets 6x more oxygen through than the typical lens). It takes getting used to putting them on your eyes (true with any contacts), but you’ll get used to it. There are drops on the market to clear your lenses in your eyes, meaning clear protein buildup, not just moisturize, so look around at a supermaket or target, it really helps. With any contacts you can get stuff (makeup, lashes) in your eyes, and contacts will cause it to stick to the surface, or, worse, trapped under the contact, so bring travel size solution and a case, since you’ll have to take them out and rinse.

if you have a good ophthalmologist he/she will tell you which is best,
many people wear acuvue but not everyone can, you need to match base curves of the eye with base curves of certain brands and so on,
i suggest you don’t ask people who had a type prescribed to them because it was prescribed for their eyes and their prescription ( yes prescriptions may play a part in the brand you get)
    anywhoo
    goodluck

The best brand of lenses is the one that fits you best, is compatible with your tear quality and provides good vision. There is no one best lens for everyone, you need to work with your fitter to find the best one for you.
